Can I pick my order up in person?

All orders can be picked up in person at our location in Rockford Michigan. Please call 616-387-0111 or email customercare@floatingaxewoodworks.com to make arrangements for your pickup.

How will my order be shipped?

Most of our products, due to their size and weight, ship via our LTL (Less than Truckload) shipping carriers.

How much does it cost to ship my order?

The cost to ship an order depends on your shipping region, delivery location, the size of your order, and the quantity of products on your order. Due to the many variables involved in determining the cost to ship an order we are unable to publish shipping cost at checkout. To ensure that you're getting the best possible shipping price, please call us at 616-387-0111 and we can assist you in getting an exact cost to ship your order. There is no shipping cost for orders that are picked up in person at our location in Rockford, Michigan.

How will my order be packaged?

All orders that ship via LTL (Less Than Truckload) carriers are loaded onto custom pallets, banded to the pallet to prevent movement in transit, and covered by plywood to prevent damage. If multiple products are ordered, we try to package those products onto the same pallet to reduce the cost of shipping. If an order is being picked up at our Rockford Michigan location it can be picked up with no packaging or we can package it for a fee. Please call 616-387-0111 or email customercare@floatingaxewoodworks.com if you would like your order packaged for pickup.

Can I return my order?

Our goal is to make sure that you're absolutely happy with your order. Please call 616-387-0111 or email customercare@floatingaxewoodworks.com if you have any concerns about the quality of your order. We allow returns for a full refund for any reason within 30 days of delivery or within 90 days of delivery if there is a quality issue, provided the product has not been altered from its original condition. All return shipping cost are covered by the customer unless there is determined to be a quality issue.

Can I view your inventory in person?

Sometimes it's easier to find what you're looking for by browsing our inventory in person. We welcome all our customers to come see us at our location in Rockford Michigan. Due to irregular shop hours please call us at 616-387-0111 or email us at customercare@floatingaxewoodworks.com to make an appointment to visit our showroom.

Is your wood dried?

All of our wood is dried through a combination of air drying and kiln drying. We allow our products to air dry as long as possible before going into our vacuum kiln for final drying down to 6% - 8% moisture content. All products listed for sale on our website have been kiln dried. Please note that we measure moisture content when removing material from the kiln but wood will acclimate to its surroundings and will often take on moisture once removed from the kiln.

Is your wood surfaced?

Unless otherwise noted on the individual product, all of our wood is rough sawn.

Can you surface my order before shipping/pickup?

We offer surfacing and sanding of all slabs purchased from us at an additional cost. Please call us at 616-387-0111 or email us at customercare@floatingaxewoodworks.com to arrange for your order to be surface and/or sanded.
